An unbreakable, upgraded version of the “Poacher’s Spade”, balling spade or perennial spade!
Not as narrow as the regular ground shark, but with similar rounded back and toothed serrations on one side.
This spade’s head is 11″ long by 5 1/8″ wide with 2 1/4″ rounded profile depth.
Over all length is 39″ for the D-handle model and 62 1/4″ for the long handle model.
Great for dividing perennials, transplanting small plants and tree seedlings, or plant rescue at a construction site. Lighter weight and smaller than the king of spades or standard shovels, meant for targeted tasks rather than all day heavy digging. The step is smaller and does not accommodate a footpad, and the overall weight is lighter while still King of Spades tough and indestructible!
